Dogs Trust is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a safe and happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction. For this reason, Dogs Trust embarked on a education programme that would help to communicate their key messages about responsible dog ownership and dog safety.
The education programme now comprises:

- Drama for 5-11 years*
- 5 A Day for 5-11 years*

- History - Dogs in War for 11-14 years
- English for 11-14 years
- Business Studies for 14-16 years

The Schools Workshop Programme provides an informal approach to education. An Education Officer provides workshops to schools and youth groups and uses activities and games to discuss and debate responsible dog ownership. Workshops meet the curriculum requirements of England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Ireland.
